Troyal Garth Brooks was born on February 7, 1962, in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the United States. His elder siblings are Troyal Raymond Brooks and Colleen McElroy Carroll, both of whom he considers his parents. His father worked as a draftsman in the oil sector, and his mother was a country singer who sang on the television show “Ozark Jubilee” in the 1950s. When Garth was born, both of his parents were already well into the second half of their respective marriages.
He has four older half-brothers and a single older sister, making him the youngest of five children in the family. Because he was one of six children, he and his siblings were all compelled to participate in the weekly talent shows that his family hosted.
